OCAT – Dine with a Scholar Program

Want to participate in a unique opportunity to interact with faculty and members of the University outside the traditional academic setting?

Want to explore questions about faculty research?

Want to know more about how work/life issues impact success in careers in Higher Education?

The purpose of the Dine with a Scholar program is to facilitate informal communication between faculty members, campus administrators and undergraduate students. During the dinners students are encourage to ask questions and get insight into achieving a successful academic career here at Michigan State University. Additionally faculty and administrative professionals may also ask students about their experiences at MSU to enhance their understanding of how students perceive their educational experiences, campus messages, programs and services. In order to achieve the goal of fostering informal relationships, the maximum number of students that can be hosted at any meal is ten; the majority of the students attending must be undergraduates. These meals may take place at either a local restaurant or at a residence hall cafeteria.
